Leah!

Hopefully you have been keeping up with your booklet. Keep in mind that, this is our last meeting doing classwork together. The last day you can show me you have finished all your work is on May 26th. After that date, if you did not meet the required work, you will not be invested. Show me your work tomorrow. See you!

Montgomeries!

Carlos: Answer the questions that follow.

  1. Describe how to fold a flag properly? (How many people do you need and what are their jobs in terms of folding the flag?)
  2. Describe, in details, how to salute your flag? How should your body be positioned, how should you hands be, etc.
  3. How should the flag should be displayed and when?

Isaac: Explain the reason of and meaning for the National Anthem? Type down what the national anthem is.

Isaiah: Interview a national official (Military, Army, Navy, Police Officers, etc) and learn about their duties. Here are some questions.

  1. Could you describe a typical day at work?
  2. What is the most difficult part of your job?
  3. What is the most satisfying aspect of your job?
  4. To whom do you report?
  5. How did you get your position? Were you election, appointed, or hired?
  6. How should a young person, such as me, prepare for a life of public service?

There are many military active/retired people in our church. Ask any of them these questions. Keep in mind that the wording of the questions will change depending if you interview an active or retired national official.

ALL your responses should be commented below!

Leah – Family Life Honor

You should still have your Family Life packet that Mr. Donovan has made when we combined his Ranger class with my Explorer class the first day we started Family Life honor. If you don’t have it, please let me know so I can immediately send one to you so you can do it. Comment below

Shells Honor

If you are taking the shells honor, review the diagram of the shell that we covered on April 21 and look over the rest of the questions. We will go over it again on our this Sabbath April 28 and we will take a test to see what you guys have learned on your own. Plan on staying for potluck and we’ll probably stay until vespers so that we can cover honors and review them as well.

Here is a link to the shells honor http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Adventist_Youth_Honors_Answer_Book/Nature/Shells

Not all of the questions will be on the test, but you won’t know what is going to be in the test. So look over the entire thing.

Weather Honor

Leah and Zoe. How are you guys doing with the weather logs? Are you guys keeping records of the weather for 2 weeks? If you have, show me the log this Sabbath.

Leah. Remember to bring your pictures that I asked you to do this Sabbath as well. That’s the only thing you are missing to earn the honor.
