Bike trip 10+ Miles

For those of you in cycling we will be doing our second installment of our 10 mile bike ride on May 22, 2011. It will be at Valley Creek Park. We will be meeting at the park at 8:30AM. Make sure that your bike is in riding condition. If you get a flat on the trail it will make it very hard for you to complete the miles. I know that some of you wanted to go further this time we will be able to do that since you have lots of energy. Check back for we will be updating this post throughout the week.

How to get there:

From I-10 at the N. Mesa exit (#13), go west (away from the mountains) on Mesa St. In .5 miles the road name changes to Country Club. Continue 2 more miles to the rotary intersection and take the second right onto Upper Valley Road. Travel 1.3 miles and turn right on Gomez Road and into Valley Creek Park. Drive to the other end of the park and park in the lot. Look for the trailhead in front of you.

What to bring:

  • Bike (obviously)
  • Helmet
  • Water (camelbak or hydration pack preferable)
  • Sunscreen

If you have any questions please reach me at 227-9172 or by email at drivera1210@gmail.com

HONORS

Pathfinders and Staff: PLEASE hand in your HONOR WORKSHEETS ASAP!!

If you are an instructor and/or counselor, please fill out the appropriate form and return it to me (email, phone, in person) before May 22nd. Even if you are more than 80% finished with your honor, please fill out the worksheets and get them back to me. If you have completed honors in your class (required and optional honors), you must fill out a worksheet to ensure your PF’s receive their honors! I also need a list of Pathfinders from your classes who will be invested.

If you are a Pathfinder earning individual honors, you were to have your worksheets in already! But I will extend this deadline until May 22nd also. You must have payment ready as well.

NEXT PATHFINDER MEETING WILL BE TOO LATE. ANY WORKSHEETS HANDED IN AFTER MAY 22ND WILL NOT BE RECEIVED IN TIME FOR INVESTITURE 2011!

A BIG thanks to those who have turned in their worksheets!

I have extra worksheets if you need more. You should have received them by email. If not, please send me a good email and I will send them out to you.

Any questions?? ASK!!

Ms. Jocelyn

Kite Honor Class

Hello to the Fab 4 Kite team!

Sunday was a good start with our Kite Honor class. All your designs are being worked in the computer to have blueprints ready for the next time we meet so we can start assembling your kites. Materials will be on hand on our next meeting so be ready to get to work so we can get these kites up in the air.

Also, keep Sunday January 30th open to go flying – if the wind is good, we are in business for the kites we assembled on Sunday. We will meet around 12-ish. I will keep track of the weather as time goes on, so if the wind is not happening on that Sunday, we leave it for another day.

If you all have questions, email me at AJuarez764@aol.com or call at 588-6822.

Muchos Thank you’s!

mr.albert

URGENT Meeting!

I was looking over the stuff that we need to cover before investiture and we have some honors to tackle. Therefore, I’m calling a COMPANION day meeting at the church this Sunday, January 16 @ 10 am in the morning. I was going to use the 1 hour classwork time we have at our regular meeting but that is not enough time to go over instructions and do the task, especially since we are going to do Baking honor. So we need all the time we need to bake and prepare and clean up afterwards.
