We are going to Texas
(Editing note – this entry was begun in Minnesota but is being finished in New Mexico, as the author was getting car sick!)
I must start this entry with an apology. We wanted to be posting from the camporee but two things factored in to keep us from doing so. 1) our cell phone internet was awful, especially with that many people there, and 2) we were just dog tired at the end of the day.
So…here’s a bit of a recap as we are headed home.

Chicago…
We had somewhat of a slow start this morning. Kids have been such troopers, but I think the long travel is taking it’s toll on them.
Last night our first Pathfinder pillow fight occured while trying to get to Memphis. We realize they’ve been couped up in the bus for so long, so we decided to encourage it a bit and release some energy. The kids had a blast!
First day winding down
The first leg of the road to Oshkosh is coming to an end. We are currently about an hour away from Memphis. It’s been a long day, but the kids are still in high spirits. They are currently entertaining themsleves by singing random songs. Looks like we will be getting into Memphis about 22 hours after we left the church. We still have a long way to go till we get to Oshkosh. Thank you for all the prayers.
Texas is a big state!

It took us a total of 14 hours, 5 fill-ups, and a bag of “Megathin Tortilla Chips” to get across the great state of Texas!
